Who we are

Tipple Custom Builds Inc (“Tipple”, “we”, “us”) is a residential construction and carpentry business operating in Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website. It is written to align with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where it applies, provincial privacy legislation.

What personal information we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us. If you send us a message through the contact form, that is:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Whatever you write in the message field

If you call or email us directly, we hold whatever you tell us in that conversation. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not collect personal information from third parties.

This website does not run advertising trackers, social media pixels, or third-party analytics. Nothing on these pages loads from an outside server.

How we use your information

To reply to you, to discuss a project you are asking about, and to carry out work you engage us for. That is the whole list. We do not use your details for marketing you did not ask for, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.

Consent

By sending us a message or contacting us directly, you consent to us using your details to respond. You can withdraw that consent at any time by telling us, subject to any legal or contractual obligations we still have. Under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) we will not send you commercial electronic messages without your consent, and any such message will identify us and include a way to unsubscribe.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is needed to do the work or where the law requires it: for example with a subcontractor or supplier who needs a delivery address, or with our accountant or insurer. We do not give anyone your information for their own marketing purposes.

Where your information is stored

Messages sent through this site are delivered to our email. Email and any project files may be stored on services whose servers are located outside Canada, which means that information may be subject to the laws of the country where it is held.

How we protect your information

We keep personal information on password-protected devices and accounts, and we limit access to the people who need it to do the job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we do not keep more than we need, which is the best protection there is.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept only as long as they are useful and then deleted. Records relating to work we carried out are kept for as long as we are required to keep them for tax, warranty, insurance and limitation-period purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details on our contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy question, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It stores one small flag in your browser to remember that you have already seen the opening screen, so it is not shown again during your visit. That flag stays in your browser, is not sent to us, and is cleared when you close the browser session.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
